I love the time I get to spend with my little man, he's such a huge blessing more than he’ll know. After working with a family in the Dream Foundation yesterday, who’s health was deteriorating, I quickly realized that just being there for my family wasn’t enough, I needed to be fully and completely present for my wife and my children. Anyone can provide for their family, putting a roof over their head, clothes on their back and a food on the table, but what’s really important is the “time”, loving them, playing with them, praying for them … just being present for them.

I am honored I was given the responsibility from God not only to raise and provide for my son but to also teach him to be a leader in Christ and in the world, paving the path for him as a friend, a husband and eventually a father, setting an example for my son to learn from. I no longer take that for granted and today, I thankful for the opportunities and the lessons I learn on a daily basis to continue to learn, may we never stop learning or teaching ourselves to not only grow in our person, but in our faith and walk with God. It’s not about the destination it’s about the journey.

Thank you to the beach goer that loved watching us play and had to take the shot. Nancy Hosteter
